Watanuki was mumbling to himself as he walked, running over a mental check-list of groceries in his head as he juggled his school bag, obentou box, and recent purchase for that evening's meal. Let's see... when he got to Yuuko-san's shop, he would have to put the vegetables away in the fridge, prepare some snacks for the witch, and then see what chores needed to be done. "Maybe I should organize the storage room again..." the boy muttered, his hand to his chin. Especially after... The recent incident with the shelves giving out, a new layer of dust was forming constantly and it really was grating on his nerves and it just never seemed to settle and ( ... )

*EEP!* A frightened little noise was all that escaped from the nervous girl as her mind didn't even take the time to register who it was exactly there before she ran around to the other side of the pole. She tightly squeezed her eyes shut and her hands clenched as she tried to remember to breath when her mind finally caught up with the past second.

She opened her eyes and blinked. Glancing around the pole she blinked again. "...aaaa...?"

"Ara..." Watanuki waited patiently for the girl to calm down. When she peeked back out from around the pole, he gave her a cheerful smile. "Good afternoon!" The boy made a small bow. "Are you here by yourself?" After looking around and finding no annoyed Ame Warashi or annoyed Karasu Tengu (thank goodness, at least he won't get smacked), Watanuki gave her another smile.

"Ah, I'm sorry, my hands are all full with groceries. But do you want to go for a walk maybe? I still have time before I have to be at work."

She never could stop the blush that deeply coloured her cheeks whenever he smiled. And he had smiled TWICE! It left her dazed and she had no voice, leaving her to give a small nod in response to his first question. She was simply grateful that her feet hadn't taken over and sent her running away.

Scrounging up whatever courage she could find she came out from hiding and returned his greeting with a small bow of her own. "I...I could help carry something. If you like?"

The Witch tipped her head, attention drawn from the book laying on her lap. There was suddenly a large amount of noise from behind her. Upon glancing over her shoulder she noticed Watanuki's shadow falling across the doors.

Ah, so he was here. Her eyebrow raised, someone else was with him. Was it Doumeki? oh, no wait, that voice. It was Zashiki Warashi. She smiled faintly, turning her attention back to the book before her. "Hello!" She called finally, snapping the thin black book shut. "I'm out on the porch." She finished, her eyes traveling back to the doors.

Zashiki Warashi made her way to the porch and slid the doors open, taking a careful step out, and bowing. "Hello, Yuuko-san! I'm sorry if I'm intruding, but he...he said I could come for a visit." She always did worry about bothering anyone, but he said it would be alright.

Yuuko smiled, shifting slightly so Zashiki Warashi could sit down if she wished. "No need to worry, you're not intruding." She kept a faint smile on her face as she turned her head away, looking out at the backyard. "I always love having visitors."

She paused briefly before kneeling down on the porch, still excited and happy about the afternoon and how Watanuki seemed happy as well. "He said he would be making udon and miso with some aburage and there'll be dorayaki for dessert! I..." She paused looking in the direction Yuuko was, puzzled.

"Are you watching for something?" She looked harder, but didn't see anything unusual, no other spirits or what might be out of place, but she also knew she couldn't see or hear everything Yuuko did.
