rome was definitely on our plan already, but other than the rain was there anything bad about sorrento? we'll be going in early june so hopefully it won't be such bad weather >___<

Being Greek I can give you Greek destinations. On the mainland there's ancient stuff like the Delphi, or the Parthenon and its museum in Athens. Actually lots of cool museums in Athens. If you want more vacation-y type things, I recommend islands like Kefallonia, Zakynthos, Lefkada. Basically the Ionian islands. I'd say avoid places like Mykonos and Santorini, because everyone goes there, and it's probably overhyped like whoa.
There's also Halkidiki for vacations on the mainland, it's close to my city (Thessaloniki) but there's hardly anything culturally interesting there, sadly :P
thanks!!!!! ♥ i know you might be biased (who isn't XD) but do you think a separate trip for greece would be better? coz i have a feeling we might only be going for ~3 days, which seems not enough at all :( *has a feeling she will love greece* another friend is thinking of going on holiday as well, so i might persuade them to go to greece 8)

Mm, might be better for a separate trip, 3 days really is too little. Then again depends on what you want to do/see, really. :) If there's lots of sightseeing/cultural stuff/relaxing at the beach you want to do, then yes, separate trip.
yeah, that's what i thought XD;;; we tend to just go for the typical touristy places, so time-wise i'm sure we can manage, i just think it would be a lot better to go separately. thanks! ♥
