i have borrowed a kids book on how to speak german.
no, i don't know why.
and while i'm at it. i don't believe i spent more time than i should've searching the history section for a book on english/french relations.
which obviously doesn't exist in the library coz no historian can possibly be used a france/england fanalong with any american/

yeah i know *__* after reading speak, it's like the whole door of linguistics just semi-opened! i know it's going to be impossible to learn german/french now, since my head only seems to have capacity for 3 languages, but just learning a bit is already really interesting :)
you may be pleased to know i just went through all the courses available in UCL in the history department. it looked like a mini-heaven for you :P sadly i can't take any of them, since they don't let second years take the first year courses, which i want to take :(
