Hurricane Names, HP Style (public entry)

Okay, so peppery_lime and I were talking about the names of Hurricanes. And how some of the names aren't all that ... impressive, let's say. So, we decided to come up with names that anyone who knows HP can easily relate to.

And because we have no life. *grins*

So, without further ado, I proudly present to you:

That's part of the reason we did this. I went through Charley, Francis, and Jeanne last year, so i speak from experience when I say stay in side, make sure you've got water for everyone, and don't panic. Easier said than done, I know, but there you go.

And, if it makes you feel any better, he's back down to a 2!!

Well, some of my folks are evacuating, and the Mississippi folks are staying put, so even though I KNOW they're fine, I'm still antsy! *grin* Meanwhile, I'm stuck here in Cali, worrying, and they're telling me to calm down!

When I lived at home, I didn't worry as much, I don't think...maybe 'cause I knew everything was getting done properly...*laugh*

I'm glad you liked it! And, as peppery_lime said, that is part of the reason we did it. I've been through Hugo and Andrew (in the direct path of both, I should say) and know how horrible it can also be to be 'on the sidelines' while loved ones are in danger. So yeah. We figured a little laughter about the situation might help.

Yeah, Xavier would be about the hardest one there was to do...

simply because, according to The Lexicon, there IS no wizard or witch with a name that begins with X. :P

aren't category 5 hurricanes theoretical? I thought I heard somewhere that there have never been any recorded storms of that verocity. Harry would so be a category 5, regardless.

Hurricane Andrew (who hit Florida in 1992, I believe) was recorded at a Category 5, according to The Weather Channel. And yes, Harry would most definitely be a Category 5. LOL
