Just missed bus 173 on the way home from piano lesson. Decided to walk to the next busstop because it is boring to wait sitting down at the busstop. On the way, I passed by a playground with swings! Some people mix in circles of friends that live their lives differently, and then you slowly morph into that too. It's about the kind of lifestyle you want to lead, the kind of environment you're in.
Hormones, is a terribly lame excuse that uses biology to take the blame for an individual's choices.

But there must be a reason for choosing what environment/social circle we want to immerse ourselves in in the first place right? Just as some people are born smarter/stupider than others, I do believe that people are not 100% in control of what they are interested in.

People aren't 100% in control, but you choose what you want to be. Just because you're predisposed to be a prostitute doesn't mean you follow your biology and become one. You may be born inclined to something, but you alone decide what you want to do with your life.
And if you can see that you're immersing yourself into the wrong social circle that will lead you the way you don't want to be in life, then you should have the good sense to get out of it.
