I just got back my marks for the individual letter writing for bizcomm. I got the lowest marks in class. But I've already done my best, I did research on both content and format. Unfortunately my writing was deemed to be too negative and took too many words from the question (but no one told us we were not supposed to...). Sometimes some things ( Read more... )

Don't get affected by useless things like grades and such. Yes, I must be very idealistic and optimistic to say this, but don't let it affect your life. The most you should do is to lie in your essays (and let your hand rot) and just get out of it asap ( ... )

Ahh, unfortunately grades is quite impt to me, cos better grades -> easier to get job -> more time to do other things I am more passionate about.

Your 2nd para is very inspiring! Food for thought for me.

I so agree with you about the ego buffing thing. Must learn that too.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with such problems :):) Today our tutor praised my part of the essay, but the relationship in the group is still tense...

Hey don't be disheartened by that letter writing kay.

I agree with you about projects. Sometimes even though I point out something that is right/of reasonable concern, people would be fast to disagree with you because of their own reasons. So I got quite sian by trying hard to get my point across so sometimes I just ignore the issue. An example is APB project. We were all okay with a Japanese company, but one group member suggested another company which is a joint venture between China and Australia. We all thought it will complicate matters, like why can't we just choose something that originated purely in ONE asian country? But she had her reasons to counter our opinions. Today our APB tutor questioned our choice of company and some of us were thinking of changing company.

Don't know la, all these were never really a big problem in secondary school and JC, were they? I feel school just gets more depressing sometimes lol. Sorry for the ramble!

Hope you're feeling better. :)

Haha your 2nd para sounds like an essay. Like, point, evidence and evaluation (PEE?).

But I think its more of the people rather than the school... although the fact that uni teachers cares less is also a factor.

:)
