Today, one of my best friends mums passed away.
We lived next door to each other for 12 years.
She was like a second mother to me for most of my life.
Her house was my second home.
Although I knew this was coming, nothing prepares you for the moment they are gone.

Funeral on Friday. Oh joy.

My best friends Mum passed away when I was 12. We were close, our fmailies were close.. she was exactly to me what this woman sounds liek to you, except it was completely unexpected.

I know how you feel xx Was the worst thing ever seeingmy best friend an hour after she found out and having to try and comfort her. I'll never forget how hard it was (& her two sisters as their Dad stayed at the hospital..)

We basically knew that this would be her last christmas and my mother and I were planning on going to see her on Christmas Day, but now it's too late.
I won't even get to see Amanda besides at the funeral but I'm hoping to get up to see her as soon as she is ready to see people again.
I live an hour and half away from her and without a car, it makes it hard.

My condolences.

Even though I am going to be seeing death on a regular basis, I don't think anybody is ready to see another person die, even if you know its coming.

Its the sort of thing that you can just never be fully prepared for no matter how much time you have or anything.

Its always harder when you know its coming but want to delay it as long as possible.

*hugs*

The worst part of the entire funeral was hearing Amanda sobbing...
