Go square go

While all my friends are travelling to exotic and warm countries, I'm stuck in Bruges for two months. Work has been okay, mainly because the other girl I'm working with is pretty cool. She went to the same highschool as me and I knew her back then. At night I either meet up with friends or I'm working on my laptop. Already went to see two movies: ( Read more... )

vampires, twilight, summer, movie talk, music

Aw man, there's a lot to be said for beer in the park on a warm summer's evening with old friends. I am ridiculously jealous.

Unfortunately those kind of nights are rather rare. I wish I would experience them more. It would be good for the nightshopowners!

Hmm. And when you say you could use some 'drama' in your life are we talking wild adventures (coz haven't you been having loads of those?) or do we mean some kind of wild summer fling? Maybe someone with hair your parents wouldn't approve of and too many facial piercings?

Some wild adventures would be nice yes. Actually it's been a while since I had one. Things that are spontaneous, new and lots of fun. Most of the time I just do the stuff that I've always done. I want something completely out of the blue. The summer fling can wait, I'm in a 'guys suck' mood right now and even some cool dude with a mohawk and tattoos couldn't bring me out of it. That is of course, untill I actually meet one in the street :)

Yeah, but I get bored so quickly. And especially when half of my friends are out of the country. This is the second night in a row I don't have any plans at night (and I'm even home alone) and I wanna do something already!!! Can't you come over and entertain me? I have a DVD-player in my house... * lurse you to Bruges*

epiphanissimo dragged me to the cinema for Eclipse, too! Strangely, the age average was rather high. Plus, quite a lot of guys. I honestly can't fathom why people think this movie (or books) are awesome. There's not a single thing that's actually, honest-to-god good about them /o\

I agree. The books are build on cliches and the teenage version of romance and a whiny leadcharacter. There's little originality or surprising plot twists to be found. But it's popular media, and that's never really original is it. However I enjoyed the movies, in the same way I enjoyed The 300, Step up 2 and Avatar. The dialogues are zero, the fake adoring eyes are all over the place, the acting is bad, the story is so predictable, and so on. And all the while I'm grinning and thinking "man, I can't believe this! This is sooo bad, so hilariously bad, oooh the losers".

But yeah, you're right about the age and gender comment. Maybe more people think like me, maybe more people just don't have any brains, maybe more people have too much money and no movie-criteria. I also think some people like the thought of the universe more than the actual story. Who knows...
