The boy known as Pyro had been sleeping ever since Logan had clocked him one and the Professor had placed him in a state of hibernation. It was safer and easier that way, no one had any idea of what had happened and they hadn’t even probed that deeply to find out because it was John and everyone must have figured it was Pyro being Pyro ( Read more... )

Bobby grumbled to himself as he checked his watch. It was time for John duty, and thus he switched off his X-Box angrily. John duty was always much easier than Rogue duty. He never talked, he just slept there peacefully and Bobby couldn't be happier. However, it was a precious chunk of his day that was dedicated to sitting in a room with a vegetable and changing bedpans. He marched off towards the infirmary.

When he arrived, however, John's eyes were wide open and he was stirring. Bobby cautiously walked forward into the room, and then said, "Oh hey, you're up." He walked over to the side of his bed and followed up with, "We were wondering when you were going to come around, because you have a lot of questions to answer."

John’s eyes slid upwards and they narrowed briefly as he recognized the face - the voice - and yet he came up with …nothing. A blank slate, a missing piece, and he didn’t know who he was or even what he wanted.

What questions?

“Where am I?” John asked from his position on the ground. He hoped the disorientation and confusion would fade and he’d be able to remember but he just couldn’t comprehend much of anything.

He looked at his hands again and wondered why they ached and why he itched to fidget with something, anything - he just didn’t know what.

Bobby pulled up a chair, spinning it around to sit backwards in it as he talked with John. "You're in the infirmary," he said simply. He could tell John wasn't his usual self, that he most likely had just woken up and was disorientated. "At the school," he followed up. "Magneto left you guys here," he said, feeling a smug sense of satisfaction by pointing out to John that his fearless leader had abandonded him.
