I don't know how coherent I can be right now since I've just watched Arrow's latest episode, but I have to write down something or I will explode
( Read more... )
All the love for this ep!!! I'm loving everyone. Really. Hard. Bad guys, good guys... lots and lots of love.
Laurel is supposed to be like that but so far she has never really stepped up to the way the character is like. I hope they keep doing her kick-ass as she should be. It is making me happy.
I'm shipping Felicity with Oliver so hard too! And that is really NOT like me!
JB always attracts all the hearts no matter how good or evil his character is. He just shines everywhere he goes.
Maybe they've learnt something in the mini-hiatus. She really needs to get more character to her. This showed a bit of that and I really liked it.
On a perhaps stupid sidenote: I like Laurel's clothes. There is such a fuss going on in fandom about the women of comic books and their portrayal that I DO like the producers not putting her forward in clothes showing a lot of cleavage and legs and pining for the hero. I just needed to say that XD
OH GOOD YOU TOO?! Excellent :D
He does shine, doesn't he? :D And his enthusiasm about it just oozes off the screen :D
I truly like *everything* with this show. All the cast, the premise, the whole kit and caboodle. I just don't see a weak link...well, okay the intro bit is getting old because we know the story so the intro saying the same thing every week...I'd love something better for intro credits. But the show itself...just phenomenal. One of the best new shows to come out in recent years, hands down. And I'm with you on the 'SQUEEE' factor on the upcoming episode.
It's perfect, isn't it! When you think about the number of actors and characters and to make it so well balanced is so hard! And I'm with you in the intro bit. They change the scenes a bit in each ep, but it *is* getting old.
I'm sorry if it feels like I'm stalking your journal but I'm so smitten with Arrow atm that I need to track down ALL THE SQUEE about it and when I saw you'd written a review, I had to come back. So hi!
Your review amuses me because I just posted mine and there are many similarities lol
The Diggle-Ollie parts were the best; it's so obvious that they respect and like each other, I can't get enough of their scenes together, really ♥
This is awesome. I kind of feel like I should send her (or him?) some fanmail telling them that they're the best casting director ever. Now I'm kind of considering actually doing it, because I know from friends who work in the industry that people who aren't actors, directors, or writers don't get much fanmail and genuinely appreciate it.
So the casting director's name is David Rapaport, and there are two addresses:
The CW network headquarters in Burbank: [show/actor name here] c/o The CW Network 3300 W. Olive Ave. Burbank, CA 91502 USA
Or the production offices in Vancouver, until April 2013: OLIVER QUEEN FILMS 3500 Cornett Road-Bldg X Vancouver, B.C., V5M 2H5 Canada
I'd personally suggest sending it to the CW headquarters, because casting directors tend not to hang around on-site production offices, and the people at the CW office are definitely going to be used to handling fan mail addressed to them. I'd just suggest putting something like "Casting Director - Arrow" on the envelope so the mailroom interns know where to direct it :-)
I verified the Vancouver address through some film industry stuff I have access to, and I've driven by the Burbank location so much I don't even need a GPS any more. Any other addresses posted online were mix-ups and go to another show's or network's offices.

And for the first time, I actually LIKED Laurel. I hope this sort of kick to her character continues.
All the Tommy love! All the Felicity love! I ship her with Ollie so hard!
Thea continues to be awesome.
As evil as Barrowman is, I can't but love his every scene XD
And BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!
Btw, my 'I liked it' on twitter was deliberate not to put your hopes up high. I usually find it never lives up if I hear such things :)
