It happened again. Just two months after a would be assassin took a shot at Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally, another whacko tried to get him at the Trump International Golf Club. The observation about "being there when Trump was going to be there" was a point I hadn't considered. There can't have been too many people who were aware of his plans to go there, and and that specific time.

Anyway, it would be worthwhile to do the calculus as to whether or not Trump making X number of public appearances will convince Y number of "undecided" voters to vote for him, and use that to decide how often he should be exposing himself.

I don't know about that calculation, but you can be sure the Demon-rats would welcome the idea that The Donald lays low, no more campaign ralies until November. Doesn't look to me like he's gonna run the rest of his campaign from the basement.

Well, there would have to be some allowances made, of course- avoiding all future campaign activities would be overreacting. But, having more discretion on where he would go (not to mention when, and how) is certainly warranted, and could go a long way towards thwarting further attempts while also keeping the campaign trail active.
