When Xros Wars came out two years ago (these episodes were broadcast sometime during the autumn of 2010) it was pretty obvious who Lucemon was based on. It couldn't've been more transparent if Lucemon's campaign poster had read "Hope and Change".

Then I happened to hear that old Alice Cooper ditty, and, well, as they say, the rest was history.
