1. It's Frank Miller, so yes, it's necessarily a bit on the "liberals are amoral losers whose every utopian grand design backfires."

2. counterpoint: in the Watchmen, the dystopian world of the book/movie's setting has been under the control of the psychotic, evil Nixon and the military-industrial machine for nearly 20 years. ie; conservative

3. Yes, Rorschach is awesome, but he is supposed to make you uncomfortable with his compulsive devotion to Hammurabian "eye for an eye" sense of justice.

I didn't make it clear, but I meant that reviewers were saying that the filmmakers were part of the liberal agenda, and that this is a desperate attempt for the evil liberal media to convert people. Though in the end it might ultimately be a liberal-leaning movie, I don't think it's that simple, every character seems to have their own sensibility. Which sort of leads me to ( ... )

i didnt read the novel but i just bought it and want to read it now. so i knew nothing about the movie going in, and i had it explained to me how the end was different but there was some total rene girad sacrificial victim action up in that shizzz. laurence shine would be very pleased. hot sex scene too.

AND CHRIS YOU KNOW THAT SHIT WAS ALL ABOUT THE LOVE STORY!!! lololol

Hahaha I was definitely getting all rene girard on someone when we were talking about it. the love stories are really good in watchmen, but then again everything about it is awesome (ten nerdgasms)
