Alec was in his room with Jake, which was both kind of awesome in one sense and really brain-breakingly weird in another, and while Alec was almost kind of enjoying it, he knew there'd be other kids coming by soon to fill up his blissfully quiet and peaceful and non-kiddified room

Jake was sitting on Tyler's bed, legs crossed under him, and watching Alec as he cleaned up. "Having a lot of people over?"

Alec checked under his bed for anything incriminating or pokey as he thought, hmming softly. "Hope not. But I wouldn't be surprised."

"So how many kids do you have?" Jake asked curiously.

"None," Alec said. "Here, anyway." He sat up and grinned at Jake. "But apparently other mes do. I've got three, that I know of."

There was a knock at the door-frame. "Anyone home?"

"Yep, come in," Alec called.

"Hey," D greeted with a slightly strained smile. Only strained because she'd been juggling six children for almost twenty-four hours. "I've got someone here who'd like to see you." She looked down to indicate a little blonde girl who...

...was throwing her arms around him and saying, "HI DAD!"

There might be squabbling from both OJ and Emily even before they get to the room. And as soon as they're at the door, Jaye's telling Alec, "Here."

Alec blinks, looking down at OJ and Emily. "So which one's mine again?"

"Hi!" says Emily, popping a Tootsie Roll she'd swiped from the store. "Do you have more candy? I'm almost out."

Alec stares at Emily and then looks at Jaye. "You were serious about the sugar thing."
