Otherwise, it would've just been a picspam post supporting Holiday/Rhodes, and I do wanna fill this journal up with things other than fan drivel. Kind of.
(And ikr??? I was expecting some burst of creativity for GatRex but it's like Gatlocke and Rex exhausted themselves back into the recesses of my mind, and Rhodes just popped up all like, "Remember me? :) You thought me and Holiday were cute together," and I did think they were cute, and I still do, and I have this handful of screenies from Gravity but dammit we're not talking about that right now!!!)

Instead, since my lotions arrived in the mail today, I'll blab all about how much I like to smell like dessert foods. X3
This time, I got the 4-pack 1oz-sample lotion bottles from
Lathers 'n' Lights: Whipped Cocoa, Whipped Cocoa, Mayan Chocolate, and German Chocolate Cake.
(Other desserty scents are great too, and I will use them if they're available to me, but I only like smelling like my favorite dessert foods-- and chocolate tops that list. Thus, it's basically my signature scent.)
My default store is L&L since I've found their scents to last very long. Even after my nose has gotten used to the scent and I'll think it's faded, other people will still tell me how yummy I smell~.

Another place I've tried in the past is
The Body Bakery, which a bit cuter and a bit less morbid than it may sound.
Their lotions makes your skin SUPER soft ^0^. And the scents are dead-accurate!
But that place is way pricey. I only go there for deodorant now. It's the only place I know of that has deodorant like this. (Though, that's probably cuz other stores suspect that most people don't have the inexplicable desire to have their armpits smell like brownies and whatnot.)
Plus, the scents on their lotions tend to fade pretty quickly. And once the scent fades, it smells a lot like play-do ;;;. Not necessarily a bad thing, just...not what I want to smell like, haha.
Still, if there's one good thing to be said about BB, it's the fact that their "Whipped Cream" lotion really does make your skin uber~. It absorbs really fast, and leaves it feeling powder-soft.

Another thing I like about L&L is how generous they are with samples!
This time, they sent me Gingerbread Girl, Coconut Queen, Cocoa Noel, Oats & Honey, and Cotton Candy. And, admittedly, none are smells I'm too interested in at the mo, but you never really know until you try, right?
My last purchase was filled with chocolate-scents, so with that one, they sent me a whole bunch of chocolate-scented samples, too.
And actually, one of the reasons I got 2 1oz bottles of Whipped Cocoa is cuz one of the samples they sent in with a previous purchase included this scent and I pretty much fell in love ^^!
It's in this category that they yet again beat-out BB.
For instance, the last time I made a purchase from BB, they did send me two samples of their whipped cream...but it was in the same scent. Whatta rip-off, amirite? :P

But yeah. I was planning to wear one of the lotions I got for the family gathering, but now I have a Gingerbread Girl body lotion sample. It's one of the limited-time scents they only make around this time of year, and it smells WAY too fitting to not wear it on Christmas Eve.
That's all to report on this subject for now. Expect more with this tag after I've tried out all my samples and lotions <3.
There are a few other brands and scents I wanna try, but I'm a bit low on funds at the mo. I've found this other eBay-situated place called
Honeybee Spa Soaps that I'd definitely like to check out.
Their prices are amazing and beat out both L&L and BB. Now it's a matter of whether their scents are accurate and long-lasting.
