Little Damn Table
Angel stepped out of the shower, dripping wet, and grabbed a soft towel to wrap around his body. Opening the cabinet above the sink, he began to search for his precious hair gel… but it wasn’t there. He quickly pulled on his pants and frantically started scouring the rest of the bathroom. A tiny burst of laughter could be heard from outside the door. Angel groaned, putting two and two together. Three weeks. She had only been here three weeks, and she was already driving him crazy. “Faith!”
The bathroom door creaked as it opened, revealing Faith resting against the doorframe. “You called?”
Angel cut his eyes at her in an evil glare. “Where’d you put it?”
She did her best to keep an innocent look on her face. “Where’d I put what?”
Angel resisted the urge to growl at her. “My hair gel.”
Faith feigned stupidity and scrunched up her face in confusion. “Hair gel? I don’t remember seeing any hair gel.”
“Faith, I know you have it.”
Her eyes widened in mock offense. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She chewed on her lip and pretended to be deep in thought. “Oh! You mean this hair gel.” She pulled a tube of green hair gel out from behind her back.
“Give it to me.”
A wicked grin spread across her face. “You’re gonna have to take it from me.” She spun on her heels and started running through the apartment.
“Faith!” He sprinted down the hall after her. After almost ten minutes of chasing, he managed to catch up to her. In an attempt to get the bottle away from her, he grabbed her arms and pulled her forward. The action knocked Faith off balance, and in a tumble of limbs she pulled him to the floor as she fell. Before she could get up he swiftly rolled on top of her and pinned her down. He leaned in close to her face and whispered, “Surrender?”
She smirked playfully and spat out her reply. “Never.” She was breathing heavily, and with every rise and fall of her chest she pressed closer to Angel.
Angel stared down at her perfect, pink lips as they parted with each breath. He hadn’t realized how awkward their position was until now. He had one leg on either side of her body and his bare chest was resting on top of her torso. Faith didn’t seem to be objecting to anything, though. He carefully lifted his hand to brush her dark curls away from her face. He knew he should let her up, but she was so close, so warm, and so very beautiful. Leaning forward, he caught her lips in a brief kiss. As he broke off the kiss, he felt an arm snake behind his neck and pull him back down.
Faith smiled into the kiss as she raked her fingers through his damp hair. She could feel his tongue as it gently pressed against her lips. She opened her mouth and sucked on the tip for a second to show that it was okay. Their tongues twisted together as she deepened the kiss.
He slowly dragged his hand down her arm in a soft caress as he continued to ravage her mouth. Once he reached her hand, he felt a small bottle in her grasp and cautiously slipped it out of her fingers. Deciding that she probably needed to breathe at some point, he ended the passionate kiss. He smiled mischievously at her and bent down to chew on her bottom lip for a moment before jumping to his feet.
Faith stared up at him quizzically. “What?”
His grin widened as he produced the bottle triumphantly. “Don’t touch my hair gel.”
“Oh, you little…” Faith scrambled to stand up and bounded off after him as the chase began again.
Three weeks. She had only been there for three weeks and she was already driving him crazy. But somehow he couldn’t seem to mind.
