I just finished Deanna Raybourn's Dark Enquiry. I mostly loved it. Only mostly because part of the end was pulled almost directly from Tasha Alexander's Tears of Pearl, which was pretty much shit from cover to cover. Not that I read the whole thing as I couldn't get past the first chapter, and only read the end because of the OCD.

I TOTALLY recommend Darynda Jones' First Grave on the Right. What's not to love about a heroine who names her bewbs 'Will Robinson' and 'Danger'?

If you need urban fantasy recs, lemme know. I read them voraciously.

off the top of my head (on phone hence lowercase atrocities):

kevin hearne's iron druid books. the conversations between protagonist and his dog are worth the purchase price alone.

ann Aguirre's corine solomon books

anything by frank tuttle but more f than urban f. hilarious... i mean his markhat novels. i got them as pdfs thru amazon.

for romance, tamara lejeune. snarky and funny, especially her latest.

deborah harkness' a discovery of witches. marketed more as lit so a tad watered down, but well-written.

gotta go home now.
