should be very interesting.
The Brothers were used to say the work on the story for the movie was really exhausting and that the movie and the book have little connections... but anyway indeed it became part of our minds - Stalker as depicted by Kaydanovsky... and the Zone as it became real thing after Chernobyl :(((

I'm ready to go a test on Englishness! Where is my bower-hat? By the way, I can't play a balalayka. On my opinion, it is enough!

:)))

By the way,
recently I have read an interesting post in some Live Journal. This posted by young Russian woman, who now lives in San-Paolo. She is married to a Latino-American...

When they were in Petersburg, she told him that Russian people so loved bears, that they (i.e. "we") have the bears as domestic animals.
yes, this young woman likes jokes ;)))

her husband has reflect upon... especially after they saw the social poster, on wich a toy bear was portrayed and the warning from Road Police: "Fasten your little boy seat belt, please!"

well,

///I was thinking rather than Chenobyl which was much later than Stalker ///

Time is relative thing :) What does "much more" mean? Plus, the time period of 1979-1986 is very rich with the events. In particularly, there was screened LenFilm Sherlock Holmes series ;)))

Solaris - remake alek_morse March 11 2009, 17:50:24 UTC
I saw the remake...
hmmm... Indeed, it was not masterpiece, but some details are liked me.
But, in principle, I'm against the remakes in any form. They could screen an absolutely original movie based on that Solaris novel, I think.

And you know of this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bed-Sitting_Room co/incidentally covers much similar ground wanderers in fallout zone - strange transformations (one man turns into a sofa). Very dark humour. I feel a connection almost with Roadside Picnic - of course it is the imaginations antennae, often two or three comparable things occur at roughly aproximate times. Roadside seems to have influenced much English Sci-fi too. But i shall put all tis in my review!:))
