holy wow, that story definitely seems right up your alley, i'd say!

interesting connections made by you (re:buffy, persona).

speaking of jung have you seen that new cronenberg jung/freud flick yet? i heard it's a-good!

not yet - but i will :)) and oh yes, the Jung v. Freud antics in the book are fantastic (and daft) - like a woody allen skit from 1975 or something!

and that's not to decry the intellects of either necessarily.

pfft, and why would it? allen claims to be quite fond of both if i recall correctly.

and, yea, i need to get to the theatre and see this flick! but first, i wanna see Carnage!

That is absolutely fascinating, and I love the last picture. I've added it to my to-read list.

glad it was of interest :))

the images are from different sources (and i should make them smaller methinks) that last pic is of the Swedish musician/artist Karin Dreijer Andersson, (from The Knife and Fever Ray and others), though i have monkeyed with it a bit, of whom i am a big fan.

I think I'd love that: it sounds like a text that would've been suitable in one of my college courses where we focused on classics by female authors (Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley was one). I have added it to my to-read list!

Thank you for the recommendation! I always appreciate good mental nourishment. :)

Your profile page is one of my favourite on LJ. I imagine Peterborough will have a shrine of you some day.

Don't be so modest. I've seen them at the train station, when you're not there, they look thoroughly lost without you. Lost and cold. It can't be a coincidence.

i know, and really i've only got the profile page i have out of charity (shh! don't tell IT that though!)
but what more can one do?
raise the public awareness i guess; a profile page is for life - not just for xmas.
i do feel extra sorry for them out there in this weather but at least a station is a roof over their heads.

anyway, i'm sure the daily express will sort it soon, a nice camp overseas and a quick execution.
really, it's for the best.
