Spider:

I am Spider, my dear
If you happen to ask
My eight legs employed in the trickiest task

Repairing and mending those difficult holes
The tears in the fabric of all the best clothes,

Webbing and weaving - baskets and bows
The coats and the hats that your Grandmother sows.

oh, this is adorable and very succinct. i didn't really figure you had this in you. :D

believe it or not, i actually have a piece very similar to this one.
here, check out an ode to a spider that i wrote a few months past:
http://i-am-nyman.livejournal.com/112593.html

of course, my piece is straight up single-meaning and not really too deep. so perhaps they aren't really too similar and i am just focusing on the shallow. whateva.

I've seen you about on several of my friends' journals (reginaclarejane, buttrflyscar...) and I thought I'd creep on your page. I love this poem. It's wonderfully clever and to the point!

I'm adding you as a friend.

seriously! wytchie is the best. about a year ago, he single-handedly reunited me with my love for livejournal. And his work has inspired me countless times!
