ooo Houdini... he seems to be like Mr. Tesla, a fomori - partly existing here and partly in another world of mystery, gossips, paranormal things etc. Half being human and half - pure energy of humsn imagination...

... oh and now i want The Adventures of Houdini! well, perhaps such a thing exists... or can be done...

ooo, while i have no theories on how Houdini dunnit, i can say i share an appreciation for the mystery and genius of the man.

A book comes to mind when Houdini is mentioned, The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier and Klay by Michael Chabon. Have you read it? I bet you'd like it. Most of it's themes stem from magic (houdini is a big influence) and old WW2-era comic books. Good book.

Also, Now that someone has mentioned Tesla as well, have you seen the movie The Prestige? well. shit, i'm sure you have cuz bowie's Tesla in that movie is the best and I know you wouldn't sleep on a good Bowie flick. That movie is one of my favorites though. Love Bale, Bowie and Christopher Nolan.

Haven't read that book you mention and it sounds just my cup of tea, am gonna hunt it down right NOW.

ah the glory of nicolas tesla... i lurk on a lot of related forums, there are some good ones...
