Same here. They've both had a helluva week! Don't think they'll be signing up for anymore cruises anytime soon!!

Thanks for your comment.

I'm glad too! I certainly put them both through the wringer (I think my muses are mad at me). Love the icon, makes me want to dig my Dark Angel boxsets out!

Great update. So glad the boys are okay.

Loved that Dean was launching ice chip rockets at his brother. That was too cute.

Of course, put something in Dean's hands that he can throw and he will inevitably throw it at his brother, especially when his voice isn't working too well!

It began with a rather girly noise and then Dean immediately tried to curl onto his side, pulling at the numerous wires and leads that currently made him into a poor man’s Terminator.

Now this line - is why I love this story! Another great part!

*grins* Thanks! I rather like that line myself too, poor Dean!

Yay! Loved the vision of little Dean always having to go one better than little Sammy illness-wise. I'm going to miss this story when you post Part 14. (But post soon anyway!)

It makes you feel sorry for John. Not only did he have to deal with Sammy coming down with the sniffles but with the knowledge that any minute now Dean was going to look like death warmed up.

I can almost see him trying to keep the boys in separate rooms, just in the hope of keeping one of them, only to check on Sammy in the middle of night and finding Dean already there keeping watch on his brother and undoing all John's good work!

Thanks for your comment.

In one of my stories (Five times Dean tried to read The Lord of the Rings) I had the parallel situation seen in Dean's memories after Sam went to college:

"A four-year-old fighting their Dad, who was trying to separate them so Sammy wouldn’t catch Dean’s cold. A nine-year-old sitting by a tonsillitis-infested Dean’s bed, ready to run any errands Dean might have. A sixteen-year-old leaving Dean’s bedside only to scour Black Rock for things to cheer him up. Anytime Dean was sick Sam had been there, beside him, leaving only to do something for him. Had Dean ever thanked him?"

I completely believe that John would have tried to keep the two of them apart so that they wouldn't infect each other and that it would never work.
