I cannot bring myself to look at the video...but please, take a moment to follow the link here and sign the petition. Found this clip of a local news report on youtube - the kids have been identified and caught and they sure as hell better be prosecuted as adults. The cat is alive (they didn't say it was well) and in the care of vets. (This video is hard to watch too - it only contains tiny bits of the original video, but over part of it they play the audio of the cat screaming for escape, and it's just awful).

Ugh. I can't bring myself to watch any of the videos. I've seen a couple still shots, and those were enough to tear me up.

Fortunately, the youtube account was suspended, so the video can no longer be seen. What a freaking idiot to post a video of himself breaking animal cruelty laws!

I don't think he should be tried as an adult. As horrific as his actions were, he's 14 and a product of his environment. There is still hope for his rehabilitation.

Poor kitties. I'm so glad the boys were stupid enough to post the video, thus ensuring they were caught.

He and his brother need intervention and HELP. There is obviously something seriously wrong with them and this will escalate as they get older/bigger/stronger. Bundy. Dalmer. Berkowitz.

Who is to say that they will wait until they are older? I will NEVER forget little Jame Bulger....

This is one of those times when I'd sure like to bury my head in the sand and pretend that people like this, tragedies like this, don't exist. Alas! Pretending doesn't help anyone.

I signed it and sent it along to my boss (the vet) and everyone I know in the animal community as well as my regular friends. Yet another reason for Humane Education classes in school.....and parents who watch what the f their kids are doing. Its SHAMELESS.
