The Hardest Thing

My Faith does not believe in Hell.  We believe you come back--that LIFE IS HELL.
Until you have sat by and watched someone you love die, sat totally helpless, exhausted any and all avenues of hope in an attempt to save them, you do not know what Hell is.  I have done it over and over--human and animal.  I am doing it again.  I had Hope, it is fading ( Read more... )

You saved them all. From whatever else was out there, from whatever hell they were facing/living in if you had not come along ... you saved them all. They may not live forever, but with you, they live better lives, lives of love, than they could with anyone else, anywhere else.

After 3 months of syringe-feeding ( a 1-syringe supplement of sweetened A/D food) every day, Mithril is normalized and off the syringe now for 2 weeks. Her appetite is good, even a bit piggish, and there's no sign the fatty liver disease is coming back, so while I continue to monitor, I think we've dodged the bullet.
