I hope you did indeed have a good natter and a good traipse through the bookshop.
If you do make the jump to college level, and don't go nuts, you'll be one of a very rare breed. Do be aware that the game changes significantly post-12th grade. I've only ever taught on this side of the barrier and I know I would never survive in a school, not to mention I couldn't use 90% of the techniques I used to use as a college and adult ed teacher.
Also, I rather think the need for good teachers is far greater in the schools than the colleges . . .

Hear! Hear! I'm one of those people totally not cut out for teaching children. I would be absolutely insane at the end of the day my kids' teachers must have. :-)
Sounds like a lot of great stuff going on with Harrow Moot and your group. I'm not sure if we're going to be able to make it out (I just finally started school and other hectic stuff is going on), but I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful success because of all the work you all are putting into it. :-)
