Ugh I want to see Precious so badly, I think its still on at the Odeon but it was barely even shown at the Showcase :(

I agree about Where The Wild Things are, I loved that film so much. After it was over, all I wanted to do was run down a beach or a forest, screaming and growling at the top of my voice. I then wanted to get into that big rugby scrum of monsters and just curl up asleep. Nostalgic indeed... *sigh*

You should catch it when you can, it's worth a watch! But it won't matter if you watch it on DVD, I think it's one that you can watch wherever.

Hahaha, same here, it made me want to act like I did when I was little. It really did appeal to the kid in me so much, it's a lovely film!

firstly, I envy you and your ability to write good movie reviews. I always want to write thoughts on movies that I watch but never can because well I just suck at it. It's the reason I don't write about TV shows either. Also it's obvious that you have a better vocabulary than me. I'm still working on that.

Daybreakers sounds real good! I want to check that one out. I also want to see Precious. My friend told me its hard to watch.

Aaw, thanks Lisa! I don't see these as proper reviews as such, just my random thoughts, but I appreciate your comment all the same. And you shouldn't be discouraged to write your own opinion, go for it anyway! You'll only get better with practice - not that there's anything wrong with your writing now anyway.

If you like vampires and don't mind some horror/gore, Daybreakers is an entertaining watch. Precious is also worth a watch but it's one you can catch on DVD at some point.

I can't watch Precious, parts hit close to home.

I saw a commercial for it and I just started bawling my eyes out.

[Father didn't get me pregnant and I'm not morbidly obese but regardless, too close to home.]

I think that's the thing about Precious - it affects everyone who may have ever been at a disadvantage in their lives. It doesn't matter if what happened to Precious is exactly what happened to you or if your own story is different, but the sentiment is the same and universal. I think it's easy for a lot of people to relate to, it's really sad but also a little inspiring.

You should watch it when it's out on DVD! You'll love it, really, I think a lot of fans of the book did.

Sherlock Holmes was so much fun, and again, you'll love it. RDJ can do no wrong, honestly. And yeah, Jude Law was actually bearable in this, and the bromance the two have got going on is adorable - you know how I love my bromances!

Precious is definitely hard to watch, it's a tough one.

Haven´t seen Iron man too. Until the last saturday. as I could rent any movie for 1 dollar I went to rent 7 movies. and one of the was Iron man. I remember when i it hit the theaters but I never wanted to watch it, just never caught my attention. besides that to me downey is not handsome, well didn´t watch it. but this time that I had the opportunity to rent it. I did it and I really reallllly liked it!!! not matter that dawny is not handsome for me, but his acting is so great! and so great movie. and I cant´wait to watch the second one!

Of course the movie is of fantasy but I prefer thousands times the fantasy movies to those ones where show you the cruel reality.

You don't find RDJ handsome?! Gah, you're missing out. He is an amazing actor though, I totally agree, and I love the way he plays Tony Stark, it's absolutely down to perfection. The film in general is just awesome, so much fun.
