First of all--I totally spazzed when I got the notification about a new chapter from Ff.net. I almost couldn't believe it. (And SQUEE for the chapter length! :D)

Now to the real stuff.

...This, this is precisely why this will always be my favourite DeiSaku fic, and what actually made me REALLY fall in love with the pairing in the first place--how you manage to keep them both so IC, how you show that they're both affected by the other but can hardly allow themselves to admit it even to themselves, how their banter is so light and witty and realistic and yet isn't sappy or cliche in the least. I just adore every part of this story, how you've gradually built up their relationship from absolutely nothing to sort-of-friendship to delightfully ambiguous (friends or enemies or more?Specifically, I really liked the pie scene, and the idea of a town full of Deidaras made me giggle (ROPE ME ONE! 8D). Deidara's introspective bit was lovely--I was very glad to get some insight onto what he was thinking about the whole situation. I also ( ... )

Hellooooo! I always look forward to your comments -- When I get a good one from you, I know I can be happy with the chapter! :)

Getting back into writing this after a few months of concentrating on RL was kind of tricky... I'm hoping to keep it up during the winter break though. The next chapter is all sketched out, but only has 400 words down. (And it's going to be a long one again.) With only four more chapters left to go (hopefully), Sakura and Deidara's changing dynamic is going to be a challenge to get just right. We'll see what happens!

I am so glad you enjoyed the Deidara parts - I had a good time writing them! :)

Now back to studying for exams! (I'll try not to pull another complete disappearing act from the internet/fandom -- so bad with that!)
