Oh, that's a horrible thing to happen. You really don't realise how much you take little things like colour for granted until you think about how it would be to have it taken from you.

Fantastic ficlet! I'd love to see more to this: the team's reaction and how they deal with it, Ianto coping with it, how it effects his job, how it effects his relationship...

yeah. I've been thinking alot about those things that we take for granted and this gave me a chance to take a small step towards writing fic about where those things intersect with illness.

Ouch! I'd never considered before how much we rely on our ability to distinguish colours, and when I started to think about it.... just, Ouch! What a horrible thing to happen!

Yeah. My dad is red/green color blind and it always fascinated me the way he compensated in the world. When I got the idea for this fic and discovered that it really is possible to lose *all* color that was pretty chilling to me. I'm not sure that I would be able to cope with what that does to ones vision.
