I was insomniac last night for the first time in ages. It kept me up way past dawn. Being awake during the morning hours always does horrid things to my physical and emotional well-being, for some reason. As such, I'm extremely wobbly right now, and I have this urge to write some sort of entry about the really down mood I'm in

I believe, for some reason or another, that it's from the third season of Blake's Seven...but that could just be me thinking of old (and sorely missed, at least by me) BBC SF serries, thanks to the Whoness of your post. :)

It's OK; he's easy to fixate on. 'Rumours of Death' was one of the episodes that really showed the man beneath the emotional armour. I loved it, but it made me cry, too, and more than once. :)

You definitely deserve something for knowing the source, though, and as a consolation for the unfairness. Want a userpic?

It's hard not to fall for Avon. He seems like the most sane one in the bunch - most of the time, anyway. The leather outfits didn't hurt, either. ; )

Hmmmm.... I think that if I could think of something to call him, 'the most sane one in the bunch' would be waaaay over near the other end of the scale from whatever I came up with. :) True, during the first two seasons he was often the voice of reason... seasons 3 and 4, though... especially 4... well, 'homicidal psychopath' comes to mind. :)
Still hot, though, and my favourite character on the show. :)

Any thoughts of what you might like? I can just scan through your interest list, if you prefer. :)

It's worth reading. Even the afterword is extremely touching. It's going to make you cry like a baby, though; fair warning.
