Author's note: If you read this chapter when I posted it as a draft a few days ago, then you should know that not much has changed.  I had delusions of including a bit more of Obi-Wan's investigation, but the follow-up interview was long enough to be a chapter by itself, and finally I decided that it should be.  So it breaks here, with the ( Read more... )

That's pretty much the sense I've gotten from the Star Wars canon, yeah. I think it must be one of the reasons why Anakin is so clearly disturbed as a young man …

growing more and more common. One had only to look at Arayna Dresnell - and Obi-Wan was beginning to have his suspicions about Darra Thel-Tanis, as well.

Cute reference. Obi-Wan's protectiveness and observations are coming across well -- and I notice that 'project revision' sounds like this real scholarly endeavor. Forgive my memory lapse, but was it mentioned in the very beginning of the FFV that this was a scholarly project v. a telling of a story? Also, I can't believe it's been two years; the pdf of my old reviews would be sort of nice to look at.

Thanks very much for the comments. No, that's not mentioned at the beginning of FFV; so far, all the Legends of a Fall things are just archived on AO3, not sprinkled into the fic. I'm thinking about changing that.
