And Ryn didn't come off too negatively in this chapter. I think her actions were understandable, considering the circumstances. :)

Have you lost your mind? This is Anakin, Padmé, and Ryn. Of course things won't be okay! (See icon.)

In other news … you didn't think she came off a little bitchy? I thought it was a good chance to show some of her flaws; that total commitment to Anakin (in which she won't risk his wife's safety even to protect the other people there) might be one of the big ones.

It was good -- Ryn's character is soldierly, and the security came foremost -- but I had to smile at Padme, 'well, Sola will need help, anyway,' because she had to qualify her obedience to a direct order from Ryn.

That's just how Padmé rolls - conceding to no one's authority. I think it's a side effect of being such a dynamic queen at fourteen.

Or maybe it's just a personality flaw.

TCM last night ran "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" last night and I couldn't resist watching, even though I'd seen it on stage, too. The opening and closing of doors, the passion potions, the giddiness of it all. Farce/parody, ahhhh.

Oh, I don't think I've seen it. I remember attending a college theatre department production of Lysistrata some years ago, though; people were getting up and leaving during the dildo discussion.
