reclusive much?
My ex thinks he found a brown recluse in his shower. If you don't know what a brown recluse is I've heard their venom is worse than a black widow. The media likes to freak everyone out now and then, but fortunately we're in California where they're not common and other spiders can be mistaken for a brown recluse - though we do have a few recluse

I know someone in Jacksonville who got bit by one and it ate away at the skin around her knee and it was really really gross (the scarring)

I figured out the spider is a "desert recluse" and someone blogged their healing experience from three bites. While it was extremely painful there wasn't any scarring. Hopefully the bad reactions to recluse bites are rare.
