I could use a desktop dayplanner/calendar thing where I could put appointments and things on and it would pop up a notice to remind me beforehand, and I could set how many notices and how far beforehand they would warn me. Ideally it would be integrated with the windows clock, or at least have an icon on the bar down there that I could click and it would pop up.
Yaknow that's a pretty good idea, i might look into it and actually that gives me another idea... It does suck that the only decent scheduler is MS Outlook... What if it had web connectivity? A simple notifier for your taskbar but the schedule itself was stored on a webserver somewhere so you could check it/update it from anywhere?
Looka t the APIs for Yahoo's calendar system - see if you can make it talk to that. If so, you've got a system that not only serves for individuals, but can be used to keep groups organized as well. And you won't have to build a server for it either; already built and running.
How about a "blind" chat-like website where whatever you type is seen by a bunch of others in real time? That way you can be in the middle of writing a sentence to someone and anyone else typing would be able to interrupt or something...
