Creation Stories/Coyote Wisdom
Here's your assignment, class. I'm actually doing this as a precursor to a possible workshop someday, so you can all be my calico-colored guinea pigs.
I want you to write your own creation myth. This is a story, as mythic or as real as you choose, that explains how you arrived at being the person you are today. You can shroud it in analogy or metaphor, or you can write a six page essay on how being dumped in the third grade made you who you are today. Whatever you feel tells the story of how you became who you are; your likes, dislikes, your illnesses and health, your abilities and skills, whatever you feel called to write about.
