Did you know that, when seahorses mate (after a prolonged courtship dance), the female deposits her eggs inside the male's reproductive pouch, where they are fertilized? The male carries and nurtures the baby seahorses inside his body as they grow, then gives birth to them all at once; the tiny but fully-formed babies swim away to fend for themselves. (Wikipedia has nothing to say as to whether male seahorses do any of the housework...)
Large public aquaria are better places to go look at seahorses (and other aquatic creatures, such as jellyfish). There's an aquarium in Milwaukee, part of the Discovery World museum. Go hang out with the fishies when you have some free time :-)
Public aquaria are usually open when there's sunlight outside; I like home aquaria to have that light and movement when I need it, not when I could go outside or just open the windows to get it.
Though there are certainly fish that, even if I could afford them, I wouldn't want to keep at home.
