I've realized that to get any work done whatsoever, I'm going to have to wear headphones and listen to music. So I picked up these little KOSS earbuds. They're about $25 at walmart, but they're probably the best set of earbuds I've picked up in about ever. Noise-cancelling, built-in volume control, and if I put 'em in right, I can't hear anything

You need the headphones b/c it's noisy or b/c people stop and chat w/you and if you have headphones on they stop and bother someone else?

At my last job, it was the people stopping by to chat that lead me to wear headphones all of the time (sometimes w/o music playing, so I could still hear my phone ring) and at my new job it's the noise coming from a neighboring cube.

Either way, a good pair of headphones are a sound investment. Get it? SOUND investment? HA!
