Just saw on the web this evening that Pernell Roberts passed away. He was Adam on the old Bonanza western on tv and later played Trapper John McIntyre on Trapper John, MD. Well, it's been a while since I've posted here. When I went in for my 6 month dental checkup a few weeks ago I found that the crown on one of my teeth had come loose and that they were afraid that the post that anchored it had also come loose. Well, I just got back late this past Friday night from my latest trip to Las Vegas. I enjoy the city and it's rapid pace and all the sights and sounds of the strip with the lights and traffic and constant activity. It's a fun place to visit. BBC America is showing a very interesting series called Being Human. The basic story line is three roommates, one of whom is a vampire, one is a werewolf and the third is a ghost. One of our local theater groups, the Charleston Light Opera Guild, is closing it's production of the musical sensation Rent tonight. I attended last night's show and found that they actually did a pretty good job with the show. The cast was pretty good, for the most part. Our local musical theater group recently produced the Kander and Ebb musical Curtains as part of the local summer arts festival called FestivAll. The show is not one of Kander and Ebb's better efforts, but it's cute and has some very funny numbers in it. Hearing "The Woman's Dead" is worth the price of admission alone.
