Slim glove covered fingers, black gloves, thin gloves, slid across the back of the blonde's chair. Zexion had entered the common room at last. He had skipped dinner, skipped his last classes all so he could stare at the old letters sent from his family and friends. The taller boy, though not much taller, took a seat near her, crossing his legs silently.
"I'm glad you had time to spare, Namine..."
What reasons did he have to speak with her than to gather information? But, although Zexion would never admit it, he felt slightly drawn to her. Something about her felt familiar and he never liked such a feeling.
A shiver ran up her spine. Her caught her unawares, and in the back of her mind, the sensation reminded her of Marluxia. But no...she could tell the difference. Marluxia was more heavy-handed in his approach. He was a talented manipulator, but she could always see it coming...she just couldn't pull herself away. As this boy took a seat across from her, so graceful and perceptive...she knew that when he bit, she'd never see it coming.
Unsettling...and intriguing.
"I've finished all of my assignments tonight. I wanted to meet with you and see...well, why you wanted to see me."
She clasped hands in her lap, hoping she appeared composed...but in fact, all it was was a desperate attempt to keep her hands from fidgeting.
"Nothing to extravagant has been planned for our little meeting, Namine... I was curious about you. Always lost in your own thoughts. Much like a spare character in a movie who's strikes one as unimportant... unneeded. Nothingness. A random nobody."
Zexion folded his arms calmly over his chest. Blue-grey, almost silvery, eyes watching the flames. His lips were held in a frown, but not one that had meant irritation, just a natural frown.
"I hope you do not mind my sudden decision to seek you out, Namine."
Her lips parted in surprise. No one had spoken to her like that before...or hit the issue so precisely. She wasn't sure if she should be flattered that he had noticed or insulted that he had classified her so blandly.
Well, being nothing was her plan all along, wasn't it?
"I don't mind that you wanted to see me. I was just surprised, is all. I didn't think you knew who I was, or cared."
Her hands parted ways, and she brushed a blonde curl out of her eyes.
