[Open Log] Feigning Healthy

Marluxia sighed, sniffling as he flipped the page of his book.  Why he had decided that he could afford to fake being better on a weekend was beyond him, but it was too late.  Though he did feel quite a bit better, Marluxia Vinea was definitely not as healthy at the present moment as he wished he was.  Demyx pressed against him was one of the ( Read more... )

Another day, another feeling of self-disgust.

After what happened with Namine, it seemed like everything was piling up on the silver-haired teen. Not seeing Sora around much was number one. Number two was his craving for Geostigma, and number three was trying to control himself.

He felt... bad about what happened with Namine. Really bad. Being in the Great Hall wasn't his top choice in things to do, but it seemed common for him to end up there. Not just him, though... The Great Hall was the place to be if you wanted to see anyone.

When Riku went to sit at the Ravenclaw table, however, and vibrant pink hair caught his eye, he had to pause.

"... I think you're at the wrong table," he muttered, looking at the person's robes and sitting across the table from him. "Slytherins are over there."

Marluxia had about to rebuttal that he was, in fact, not sitting at the wrong table when he looked away from his book and noticed that he was. Internally cursing at his luck, he smiled at the silver haired boy, his eyes narrowed as if his lips were in a smirk instead.

"Oh I'm quite aware." And with that, he returned to his book. As soon as the boy left, he could move back to his own table.

"..."

Riku wasn't in the mood for this.

"Whatever."

Letting out a sigh, Riku rested his head down on the table. The only reason he was out here in the first place was because he was getting sick and tired of being in his room, but this idea didn't seem to be working out so well.

He wondered if Namine was anywhere around, but he didn't want to look. He wanted to apologize, but then again... a part of him thought that she needed to, first. It wasn't his fault.

Namine felt and looked less than great. Her hair was ruffled around the crown of her head, and she actually had it pulled back in a ponytail, something she never did. She was pale and thin and tired and something was definitely wrong with her.

All thanks to the Geostigma.

She was surprised that the craving for it would hit so fast, or after one time of taking it. But it had, and she felt awful.

She took a seat at the Ravenclaw table and sighed softly, not bothering to glance around her. She didn't feel like dealing with anyone today.

Marluxia sighed and coughed into his hand, putting his bookmark in place and standing. He had been about to leave when he noticed Namine. Frowning, he took in how she looked. Going around and leaning over her shoulder from behind, he spoke into her ear, his voice low.

"Is this how you take care of yourself without me?" He hissed. "Really, I'm disappointed. Not surprised, just disappointed. You look like shit."

No. No. She couldn't deal with this. Not right now.

"Stop. Just stop."

Did she really look that bad? She pulled a few wispy strands of hair behind one of her ears. She never wore ponytails...so? Did that drug drastically affect her appearance?

"I'm tired. And you're sick. You don't have a right to judge me."

Riku heard the Slytherin get up, and didn't pay any mind until he heard Namine's voice... right next to his ear.

You don't have a right to judge me.

I won't judge you for this.

That was Namine. Riku lifted his head from the table, his eyes traveling to--- But the person he saw wasn't what he expected. Namine looked drained, tired, and...

Something about her triggered a memory with... Kadaj...

She didn't, did she?

"..."

Riku didn't say anything, not knowing where to start or if he could apologize. Mostly, he wondered who the pink-haired Slytherin was.
