In the past I have not been consistent when trying to keep a journal. My cutest attempt was some notes kept in a Chuck E. Cheese notepad, according to my records from the year 9189 to 9190. My longest attempt was from age 10 to maybe 14. It probably only had around 20 entries, but it would have been a great treasure to have now. I knew I'd want ( Read more... )

Welcome to LJ! Don't feel obligated to post everyday. Some of us are just post-whores (like me) and can't stop posting. But every now and again, I'll let this lapse for a bit....

I don't mean to pry or anything...and you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but is there any reason why you've decided to withdraw from your classes? Is everything okay?

haha, yeah I think I could easily become a post whore, and I was hesitant to start a lj for that reason, but I'm going to give it try for now. thank you for your concern, everything is okay, I wasn't feeling well at the beginning of the term, but actually I really lucked out in the fact that I didn't really need any of the classes I was taking this term (except for one which I will be able to substitute for a different course next term). We are on the quarter system, and although I will have a rough term this spring, I will still graduate as planned, good deal

I think the topic of online vs. traditional journal dynamics is really interesting; they each have a lot in common but, like you said, are ultimately entirely different (for better and for worse, I think). I find it a lot easier to maintain although at the same time the nature of the content is skewed by the awareness of an audience.

Anyway, I look forward to reading your journal.

exactly, i know i most likely wont write anything that private in a public journal, but it certainly adds elements the traditional journal doesnt that make it interesting and entertaining
