I used to do this to Annoying Cub Scouts and Webelos

When I was on staff in the Nature Lodge at Camp Geronimo up on the Mogollon Rim we used to send annoying kids on long errands to different Lodges for just these sorts of things:

Someone’s About To Get Smacked To The Future

Coworker: “Yes, miss. I understand it’s an emergency, But let me ask my coworker. He probably ( Read more... )

My best left-handed smoke shifter story was when I actually convinced an older scout (who was really annoying) to take the webelos out to find some, and keep them out in the woods as long as possible. Little did he know I was doing it to get rid of him, not the webelos.

Awesome. We were able to send guys from Lodge to Lodge almost the entire summer until some asshat in the CRAFT lodge sent a tenderfoot to the Commissioner's shack.

Oh my.......yes, someone is in trouble.

This is like the gags we play on new waitstaff of course, like emptying the coffee machine of water at the end of the night (it is hooked up of course to a tap of hot water). I've seen newbies empty a good three pitchers out before getting confused enough to ask what the hell is going on. That and the wine cellar.....(yeah we don't have one, we're a chain restaurant goodness sakes).

Poor boy scouts.

Sweet, shaking the salad dressing is excellent. ^_^

I was just thinking about all the crazy things we did at camp - playing that Rifts game, playing that massive Axis and Allies tournament, the quarterstaff fighting tournament in which my watch got destroyed in the last round, but I won. Still, I think the 18" reflecting telescope was one of the sweetest things. ^_^

Oh man I forgot all about that. The homemade explosives and the fires that didn't burn were fun though.

requests for 100 feet of flight line and being on mail buoy watch were popular, as was sending new flight officers to schedule time on the NCLT (night carrier landing trainer) and then tracking them through the ship as they were shunted from place to place looking for the key.

Modern day snipe hunts, all of them. :)

Don'cha know that's how we get our mail at sea? It's attached to a buoy at a specific location in the ocean, and we have to pick it up. Alas, sometimes the beacons go out, so we have to have someone stationed on the bow to keep an eye out for it. You have the watch from midnight to 4:AM.
