So, HELLO!

I've been thinking lately, and I figured, I'm still paying like $50 a year for a paid account, I should probably start using this Livejournal a bit more again so I'm not wasting my money. SO HERE I AM, trying to come out of an LJ hibernation ( Read more... )

Whoa, what kind of paid account do you have? Mine only costs $25/year.

Anyway, welcome back! I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't seen you in a while. :) Fanfiction is always fun, do you have any ideas for what you'd like to work on? I have been writing again, too, although I'm currently working on an Amazing Spider-Man fic rather than a Doctor Who one. :P

And congratulations! Were you an English major, then? I graduated too (creative writing), but I only managed to work differential equations into my capstone paper--nothing as exciting as Sherlock, haha.

Mine used to cost about that much, but me, having a weakness for icons as I do, decided it would be a wise decision to upgrade to get as many spaces for them as I could possibly attain. Strangely enough, I don't regret it, although I think it's a bit silly you have to pay to put up 100x100 pixel pictures. :P

And it's good to see you! I do have several ideas. Besides the ficlets, I have some ideas for crossovers (I have such a weakness for them and the ones I want to read are never written so I guess I'll have to take it up myself) and I have an idea for a longer Doctor Who story, if I ever get the patience to sit down and plan out a multiple-chapter thing. I still have to see The Amazing Spider-Man... I think my mom wants to so maybe I'll coerce her into it sometime soon. >:D ( ... )

Ooh, what kinds of crossovers? And can I ask about the longer DW story? :P

Ahaha, yeah, no more papers. I was actually a little sad when I was writing my final paper for my last lit class this spring and I realized I'd probably never have to do literary analysis again. I do get to go back to school, though, because I'm doing grad school--I don't know what I'd do if I had to be a real adult instead of a student right now, haha. What are your plans for what happens next?

Since I was a creative writing major, I didn't have to do a thesis, per se--I had to revise my work for a portfolio and write a 25-page introduction talking about my influences/inspiration and writing process, etc. I took almost enough math classes to have a second major, and since a lot of my writing is math-related, I managed to shoehorn in some bits about diff eq, which was the math class I was taking at the time.

LOL at your telepathic powers. You should definitely see it--it's adorable! I'd love to hear what you think of it. :P

HELLO! Sorry for the delay in this response, I get distracted from things too easily. :P HAHA, as for the crossovers.... I actually want to do a story for My Little Pony with the Dr Whooves character (who I think was officially dubbed "Time Turner" but who will always be Dr Whooves to me) but I haven't. Beyond that I also just kind of want to do all the crossovers ever (Doctor Who and Firefly! Doctor Who and Heroes! Doctor Who and Merlin! Doctor Who and ALL THE THINGS!!!) but I can't really think of anything more specific ( ... )
