Ooh, "eidolon" is a lovely word. I'd never heard it before. My favorite word right now is "monotonically." It's sort of like "monotonously," except it has less to do with being boring and more to do with being consistent. You usually use it to describe functions; like f(x)=x+4 is a monotonically increasing function, because if you follow the graph from left to right, it's always going up.
