The thing I hate about instruments is that I just don't know anything about 'em. So I always cling too hard to my refs not to make any stupid mistakes, which then obvs I make anyway, and then it looks too much like the ref pose and I just get bored.

I am undecided if Blaine would play the single drum because they get the melody and most solos, or the bass section, where each note is one huge drum and you kinda have to dance around in a circle to play them. I WAS IN A LOT OF RANDOM MUSIC ENSEMBLES IN COLLEGE, OKAY? ONE OF THEM TOTALLY WASN'T A MEDIEVAL ONE, AND IT TOTALLY DIDN'T INVOLVE AN INSTRUMENT CALLED THE "HERDY GURDY".

My favorite ensemble had to be Balinese Gamelan, if only for the shirts with the picture of Florida's capitol building on the back and the saying "Praise the magnificent phallus" in Balinese. Because yes. It really is. In case you were curious, the front had Hanuman and the ensemb's name on it. Also, I played the gong. 'cause that's how I roll.

Reading Nodame is never a bad decision.
