creating a wallpaper-sized vector(frame) using filters

I really thought long and hard about whether to post this tutorial or not.
The narration and sound are both miserable, despite the fact that I worked on it two nights straight! Yes. It will definitely provide some fodder for bashing, and the miserable quality merits all that.
So why do I post it?
Because I don’t feel like typing this all out after ( Read more... )

That wasn't so bad :) I think you went a little fast during certain parts but I haven't actually gone through it myself so it might be fine. I really liked your end result though and it'd be nice to see some more tutorials ^.^ Btw, do you speak another language?

hehehe. *blushes*
Thanks for your cheering words. I'm qutie aware of the speed with which I went through the tutorial. The thing is that I recorded it in two different nights and cut the audio together.
and yes. I said 'width' instead of 'weight' and told people to duplicate a layer when I myself didn't even do it. *headdesk*
likely there are a few different mistakes in there as well, hehe.
hopefully none of them too big.
If I post more video tutorials, I'll really have to work on my narration and the audio-editing.
and yes. English isn't my mother tongue. I'm German. =D
I guess a native speaker would notice right away, hehe.

I'm glad you liked the result!
*goes and blushes some more*

Hehe you're welcome :)

Really, the speed issue isn't too bad because even if you had gone really slowly, most people would still pause and take their time experimenting with each step anyways.

I think the hardest part for me to follow were the times where you would click the page and go through a bunch of options/selections really quickly that I didn't quite know what you did. I hope that makes some sense..I'm not really sure how to word what I mean ^^" And again, maybe it would make more sense if I actually went and tried it all myself. Hopefully I'll get some time once school is over :)

Your English is really good! It flowed very nicely and your pronounciation was great. I can barely even hear an accent, I was mostly going by the tone of voice you used sometimes. We actually just had some German exchange students at our school a few weeks ago :D

the explanation was just fine. Thanks for giving me your critique! those are always useful. =D
well. if you go through the steps while watching the clip again, and things are still confusing, please feel free to drop a question over here. I'll explain things again should you need it. =D

and thanks for the compliment on my English. *beams* I hope my fellow countrymen behaved over there. =P
(and their accents can be so much fun at times. when my mom counts in English, it always sounds like 'won, too, tree.' Cracks me up every time. and then the pronunciation of 'the'! it's very difficult for most Germans.)

WOW thankyou :)

Your English is excellent ...plus what a sweet voice :)

I have not tried it as yet, tho I watched it all. Only thing was that I thought you may have gone a bit fast, but then again I can always pause the vid while I catch up. Perhaps it is me that is slow anyhow !!

Lovely and so much info... your "randoms" made me smile everytime LOL

thank you, sweety! you're too nice, hehe.
and yeah. random. =P
I hate myself for using that word so often! but yeah. it's random, ne?
Thanks for the compliment, and I'm glad you like it despite my wobbly narration.

and yes. it was very vast. that's because of the way I edited it (if one can call that editing at all), and the other thing is that I wanted it to be viewable in full screen. for some reason, google was being a b#tch about that, and youtube wasn't. the problem with youtube is that they have a 10 minute limit on videos. splitting the video into two parts would have likely meant another three nights work for me, because I'm a total noob with the software I used. (I only used it for the second time for this tutorial.)

I'm very sorry about all the lapses. I'll work on things though, and hope that I'll improve.

*bear-hugs you*
thanks again for the niceness. =D

I'm sure you'll manage. I remember the Rammstein header you showed me, and it was great!

ja. ich bin Deutsche, aber mein Vokabular in englisch ist größer. ich (fast schon besorgniserregend, hehe) glaube ich sollte mich wirklich mehr mit der deutschen Sprache befassen. *grins*
