He is just so egotistical, so incredibly wrapped up in his own universe, that it's increasingly harder and harder to take anything he says seriously as he continues to speak. It's so hard to imagine anyone so deluded and so in love with themselves that they are complete unable to see any flaws that they have.

*This*! :D

I just honestly want to know how he went from an idealistic young filmmaker to a complete jackass. (Sort of like Citizen Kane -- and I mean that in an awful, awful way. :P) I just kind of feel like there's a reel of film missing. :P (Or maybe, considering TSS was stolen from ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK, the "idealistic young filmmaker" thing was all a lie? :/)

I think he's the perfect posterchild for what happens when fame gets to your head.

I'm always reminded of something Viggo Mortensen (bless him. :3) said in the FOTR Behind The Scenes. You know, "The Road Goes Ever On"? (It's on the FOTR Extended DVD, in case you're curious. :) About fame and awards and blah blah blah being like the One Ring.

Come to think of it, M. Night Shyamalan's a lot like Isildur. He could have done something great, but he ultimately failed...and tainted his career for years to come. It'll take a miracle if AIRBENDER gets the adaptation it deserves. :(

Wow. I had no idea any of my old articles still had any relevance especially since I felt that a bunch of the community hated me in the end. -.-;

Thanks! It really did hit me one day about that and I was like, horrified. I remember listening to this when the podcast came out and I thought nothing of it, but looking back on it now...
