I was rather bored and started looking up feminism on google and found this site (http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Feminism/feminism_is_evil.htm). I am also including a few of links listed on the site below ( Read more... )

religion, nutjobs, internet, wtf, sexism, rules, abuse, feminism, male privilege

Fun fact: Dr. Laura ALSO once said "Feminism is Destroying Families."

And so do these people. Both are known to be awful people.

I skimmed a few lines of one of the sites and already felt like puking. no thanks. I can rarely summon the energy to expose myself to and get angry with people like this, their hateful, misinformed agenda is too deeply set in their brains.

Oh, the timing of such things.

The online rantings and ravings of lunatics are usually things I just blow off. But after spending the afternoon checking up on friends who work in and around DCI in Silver Spring, MD I'm just not in the right headspace.

"Of course, a better solution is for men and women to marry (or establish a long-term loving relationship) at a much younger age (i.e. 18-20) like they used to."
having been brought up CofE I have seen lots of people get married to young to avoid 'sin' in rare cases this is ok however in most cases once the initial infatuation runs off they end up divorced. The get married young thing rarely leeds to hapiness. I am a totally different person now aged 26 than I was in my late teens my attitudes and values are different.

secondly what really annoys me about all this is the claims that femminism is in some way government controlls devaluing femminism further.

thirdly this sort of thing aleianates me i am a Christian and a Femminist both of these parts of my identity are important to me. Other christians denying my right to a political belief make me want to shove a crusifix up their respective asholes.

I skimmed a bit of one jesus-is-saviour article and almost threw up.
But one should really "consider the source" of this garbage.

Source: an old bible I found in the attic when I was 5, and my interpretation of it at that time. I then created a little world where everything was literal, and all non-believers were probably witches or warlocks. Because I was 5, I had no idea what "feminism" meant, and assumed it was bad because it ended in "-ism". Next, I play with my DINOSAURS RAAAWWWRRR!!! You know what? Dinosaurs are cool. I'm going to make them exist in my bible-world too.
