"Be Stupid"

Last week, on a walk in my neighborhood, I passed Deisel's new gem of an ad campaign and could only shake my head. A jelly doughnut (NOT actually eaten) = stupid, young lady?

However, today someone did one better with phrases like "Buy this...you foolish", "Bulimia" and "Anorexia Nervosa" added upon it:

I find that I like subject matters off the beaten path or those that tend to rock the boat. It makes me shy about pimping, but I can't help myself either. ^^;

i don't understand this ad campaign at all. be stupid? don't get it. then again, i don't wear diesels.

Can you imagine the executive board decision to actually go through with this pitch? Maybe it was the same people who brought us the "manly" Dockers pants ads.

Diesel clothes have caught my eye from time to time, they manufacture for both genders, but knowing this is their philosophy (particularly with women) will make it easy to buy something else.

Suggestions on positive and evolved gender companies?

i dislike all their new "smart says no".. ad's. and this one? sucks. why the hell did they think this would be appealing or clever (whatever they thought they were going for) is beyond me.
