Re: Werewolf: This is disgusting. The only thing to be done was to let him among the wolves. In his head, he's a wolf. He was happy with his pack, now he's scared. He'll never adapt to the human world, it's too late. He's gonna be very unhappy.

When will people understand the issue?

Yes, but I think it's more important if he's happier - as I imagine he is with the pack. If he's ten, like the article says, then he's past the critical period to learn any significant amount of language or socialization skills. There are almost no cases of a successful attempt to integrate a child back into society when he/she has been feral from a young age, and it's likely he'd die soon thereafter in an institution somewhere anyway, like so many other feral children before him.

He'll live longer and healthier, but what's the point? He'll have no family, he'll be in an institution unless someone decides they want to take care of him which in itself will be a FULL TIME job. No babysitters for the new "parent".

Might as well let him live with the wolves. He got along this long, didn't he?

Ferral children always make me feel unhappy as they are usually found too late. They should let him be.
