In celtic mythology, following a white stag results in being led off to the otherworld. They're faerie deer.

That's what I was just thinking XD the white stags from mythology. They are very pretty... but I would imagine the color totally kills off their natural camouflage =/

Here in Ohio, we have black squirrels. About half of our squirrels are pure black. No albinos, though ; ;

That's why they're so rare. They get pwned by the first predator. That's why they're kept in a wildlife park.

I hope they don't turn the army depot into businesses. The county could make a load of money turning that place into a nature reserve.

in pt reyes, ca, there are white goat-deer things running with the local gang of deer.
they're nice because they are more visible in the fog than the other deer - handy for those mornings where you're speeding through the area.
apparently they were imported onto some rich marin county residents property, but escaped.
now people want to save them:
